this si my illustration for the Single battle 05 on :iconbattle-artist:...

I didn't knew it was a pencil battle until yesterday... I did this one in the past days because i thought that the battle was with a full color illustration, well you can pick any of both, this one or the pen sketch...

I like the idea of this group, keep us practicing and getting better with our artworks... so thanks for taking me in... this is my first battle

it was regular battle for you. you had to let me know if you wanted to be in the pencil battle .

the pencil battle start at 05. and goes to 20. anything after is regular battle

ha its goin down! awesome stylization and i love this kinda compostion always has mystery and tension. I wish i got to see the minotaurs weapon though since it looks pretty already lol.

haha thanks... i want to give another perspective to this battle, focusing on the minotaur but with the point of view of Theseus... i have a little problem with the composition, because if a take out the sword right there and just live de weapon of the minotaur the view of the watcher were going to be directed to outside of the canvas... then i put the sword there to try to close a little the view and keep the eye of the viewer more time in the illustration... =)

Yea you don't want to take the sword out otherwise it'll do exactly what you said. But if you were to move the minotaur slightly to left you would be able to show the weapon too, which will also have people spend more time looking at your illustration since there is another element to look at.
